FAQ
Where are my database docs?
On table.latenode.com, in the database menu: ⋮ → View API Docs. On the left there is an item for each table with its ID in parentheses. This section covers only the common rules that are the same for any database.
What happens if I change a field or table?
The database docs update automatically, but requests in your system don't. Check field names and IDs against the new version of the docs and update your requests and scenario nodes.
Why does the response have field_123 instead of the name?
By default, keys look like field_ plus the field ID. Add user_field_names with the value y, yes, true, t, on, 1, or an empty string. The response will then use field names, and order_by, include, and exclude will also expect names.
The request returns 401
The request has no valid database token. Create a token as described in Get an API token and pass it in the Authorization: Token YOUR_DATABASE_TOKEN header. All requests go over HTTPS.
ERROR_NO_PERMISSION_TO_TABLE error
The token has no permissions to this table. Open My settings → Database tokens and turn on the permissions you need: create, read, update, or delete. See Get an API token.
How do I attach a file to a row?
First upload the file directly or by URL. Write the object from the response to the file field when you create or update a row. The field also accepts a file name, a comma-separated list of names, or an array of names.
How is filters different from filter__?
filters takes a JSON tree of conditions. If it's passed, short filter__{field}__{filter} filters and filter_type aren't applied. Short filters are handy for one or a few conditions; with two or more, filter_type sets AND or OR. Default: AND.
Which filters fit a specific field is shown next to the field in the database's API docs.
